Roger Ebert blogged about this artist yesterday and when I saw the video, I knew I had to share it. In the Information Age, artist Brian Dettmer rethinks the sources of our information. If, as McLuhan asserts, "the medium is the message", then Dettmer turns the story around completely. As he states in his website, "The medium’s role transforms. Its content is recontextualized and new meanings or interpretations emerge" and what emerges is thought provoking indeed. Watch:
